Special Thanks
DWD Media would like to acknowledge UNICEF BC’s Global Classroom Programme staff for the opportunity to participate in the Celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of a Child. As filmmakers who utilize media as a tool for social activism in advocacy of children’s rights, we join UNICEF’s efforts to connect children in classrooms worldwide through the power of education.
We would also like to acknowledge the vision and generosity of Byrne Creek Secondary administration and educators, as hosts of the 2009 UNICEF British Columbia Children’s Rights Youth Conference. The Youth Conference is a great example of youth empowering youth in facilitating and inspiring a global learning environment. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to participate with the Lights Camera Action Workshop, utilizing media to create awareness of the significance of 20th Anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
